How to Connect to L][Mercury

Before you can even start to play L][Mercury, you must have full Gracia 2 client (the latest lineage 2). If you haven’t you can down load it from here:

Download the most up-to-date version of Lineage II: http://www.lineage2.com/pds/pds_client.html

To connect to L][Mercury is required is to change the IP in the hosts file.
No client patching is required.

Step Instructions:

(1) Click on your Windows START menu, and then select Run.

(2) Type in the line:
notepad.exe %systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
then click OK.

(3) When file opens, scroll to bottom, and on a new line write

94.75.216.62 L2authd.lineage2.com
94.75.216.62 L2testauthd.lineage2.com

216.107.250.194 nprotect.lineage2.com

The second line is required for PTS clients to connect.
(4) IMPORTANT: Click File > Save and close the file. Check if you saved it as the right file, by doing Step (1) and (2) again.

(6) Accounts are currently auto-create on our server. This means when you are at login screen in the game, simply type in the username and password you wish to use, and your account will be created when you log in. DO NOT USE THE SAME LOGIN NAME AND CHARACTER NAME. Do not lose or forget you user name and password as the GM staff will not be able to retrieve this information.

(7) Log in with your new account information. Create a character!

GameGuard Problems:
If you are having trouble with GameGuard you can also add the following line to your hosts file while doing step 3 above:
216.107.250.194 nprotect.lineage2.com

Sometimes you may also need these lines (but add these two only, if you are having troubles):

216.107.250.194 update.nProtect.com
216.107.250.194 update.nProtect.net
